What is a GPID?
SportMana is a sporting identity, participation and governance platform built around people rather than teams.
SportMana helps players, coaches, officials, volunteers and administrators maintain one trusted sporting identity, one participation record and one lifelong sporting journey through a Global Participant ID (GPID).
What problem does SportMana solve?
Many sporting records become fragmented across clubs, leagues, organizations and systems.
Participants change clubs. Coaches earn qualifications. Officials gain experience. Volunteers contribute for years.
Yet there is often no single trusted record connecting that journey.
SportMana solves this by providing one GPID, one identity and one sporting record that stays with the person throughout their sporting journey.
What is a GPID?
GPID stands for Global Participant ID.
A GPID is a unique sporting identity assigned to a participant within the SportMana ecosystem.
It remains with the participant regardless of:
Club changes
Organizational changes
Sporting code changes
Role changes
One Person. One GPID. One Sporting Journey.
Is SportMana only for players?
No.
SportMana is designed for everyone involved in sport, including:
Players
Coaches
Officials
Volunteers
Administrators
Clubs
Sporting Organizations
SportMana recognizes the person before the role.
Can one person have multiple roles?
Yes.
A participant may be a:
Player
Coach
Official
Volunteer
Administrator
at the same time or at different stages of their sporting journey.
SportMana maintains one GPID across all roles.
What happens if I change clubs?
Your GPID remains the same.
Your sporting identity, participation records and recognised achievements remain linked to you and are not lost when you move between clubs or organisations.
What is Mana?
Mana is SportMana's recognition system.
Participants may earn Mana through:
Participation
Development
Contribution
Achievement
Mana helps recognize sporting involvement over time.
What are SportMana Crests?
Crests are recognition milestones within the SportMana ecosystem.
As participants grow their sporting journey and accumulate Mana, they may progress through different Crest levels.
Crests are designed to recognize long-term participation, contribution and development.
Does SportMana replace existing sports administration systems?
No.
SportMana is designed to complement organizations by providing a participant-focused identity and participation framework.
Many organizations already use registration, competition or event management systems. SportMana focuses on the individual's sporting journey. SportMana does that and much more.
Why does SportMana focus on people?
Because sport is powered by more than teams and competitions.
Sport depends on:
Players
Coaches
Officials
Volunteers
Administrators
Most systems remember teams.
SportMana remembers people.
Is SportMana available internationally?
Yes.
SportMana has been designed as a sport-agnostic and location-independent platform capable of supporting participants, clubs and organizations across different countries and sporting codes.
Is my information protected?
SportMana is committed to protecting participant information and maintaining responsible data management practices.
Personal information is collected only for sporting identity, participation, governance and administrative purposes.
Please refer to the SportMana Privacy Statement for additional information.
Is SportMana currently live?
SportMana is currently in pilot development and testing.
We are working with sporting stakeholders, clubs and participants to build a scalable sporting identity, participation and governance platform.
How can I get involved?

Why does SportMana exist?
Because sporting history should not be lost.
Because contributions should be recognized.
Because identities should belong to people, not systems.
Because sport should remember the person, not only the result.
One Person. One GPID. One Sporting Journey.
